Our maternal great grandfather “ CASIMIR” was the first to produce wine, and be rewarded for it, on this estate. A diploma awarding him a silver medal in 1902 has pride of place in our family archives. He won this medal at the National Exhibition of Carpentras. At that time the production of wine wasn’t sufficient to provide for his wife and eight children so as there were a great many olive trees he created an oil mill. He then began producing fruit, especially apricots, and he had the idea of preserving them in tins.
His son “LOUIS” continued the elaboration of the renowned Muscat de Beaumes in the 50s. A bottle of this vintage wine has been miraculously preserved since 1953 and is on display in our wine cellar.
Our father “YVON” then continued the development of the vineyard. He prepared for the future by teaching us to love this profession and to respect the environment around us. Unfortunately he fell ill in 1978 and was unable to pursue his plans. We pay tribute to him now, because thanks to his vision and hard work, we can present the wealth of our vineyard and wines.
In 1988 “PATRICK” and “VINCENT”, encouraged by their mother “NICOLE”, decided to start producing wines on this land once again. They began with the creation of a wine storehouse, followed by the development of a wine cellar and then the production of their first vintage wine in September 1989.
